Half Moon Festival (Half Moon Party)
A couple of kilometers behind the village Baan Tai next to the street to Thong Nai Pan in the jungle are the place of the Half Moon Festival. On Ko Phangan is every day a party or a festival. The entrance fee for the Half Moon Festival is 500 Baht per person. For this fee you get a disgusting chemical drink and a CD. (Sometimes are the CDs not available). The price for a bucket vodka mixer is 450 Baht. (For this price you get on the Full Moon Party 2 buckets). All things on this festival are very expensive. Also the taxis are very expensive. Example price for taxi distance 7 Kilometers, price until 2000 Baht. The taxi rates in Ko Phangan are the highest in Thailand. Why? Ko Phangan is a party island. Party people have to pay every price. (That’s the opinion of the taxi driver on Koh Phangan)
